Which TOG Sleeping Guru do I need?

TOG measures how well a fabric holds in warmth. Choose by the measured temperature of the room your baby sleeps in, not by the season outside. Each Sleeping Guru's TOG value has been tested in independent laboratories in Europe.

What to wear underneath

  • COOL and 0.3 TOG: a thin short-sleeved or strappy bodysuit, or just a nappy in very warm rooms.
  • 1.0 TOG: a short-sleeved bodysuit at 22–23°C; a long-sleeved bodysuit or thin pyjamas at 20–22°C.
  • 1.5 TOG: a long-sleeved bodysuit or thin cotton pyjamas at 20–22°C; a long-sleeved bodysuit with thin pyjama bottoms, or a thin cotton romper, at 18–20°C.

Check your baby's temperature at the back of the neck and the chest rather than the hands and feet. If you notice sweating, a damp neck or a very warm chest, remove a layer. Read the full TOG guide.

Why parents choose the Sleeping Guru

From swaddle to sleeping bag, gradually

Openable arm sections let your baby move from swaddling to sleeping with arms out at their own pace. That makes the Sleeping Guru a transition swaddle as well as a sleeping bag, without switching to a new product.

Built-in foot extensions

Turn it into a footed sleeping bag whenever you like, with no extra pieces, and keep using the same Sleeping Guru up to the age of 3.

Hip-healthy by design

The wide hip and leg area lets your baby move their legs in a natural position. The design is recognised as hip-healthy by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute (IHDI), and Owli was the first brand in Türkiye to earn that recognition.

Easy night changes

The two-way zip makes nappy changes easy without taking the whole Sleeping Guru off, and protective zip details help keep the nickel-free zip from touching your baby's skin.

Award-winning

The Sleeping Guru's design, which adapts to your baby's development, has won both Gold and Silver awards from MadeForMums.

Fabrics you can trust

Owli fabrics are OEKO-TEX® certified, and no Owli product contains azo dyes.

Sleeping Guru FAQ

What size is the Sleeping Guru?

There's only one size, and it fits from 0 to 36 months. It's used as a swaddle in the newborn period, then its openable arms and built-in foot extensions turn it into a sleeping bag and a footed sleeping bag, up to the age of 3.

When should I stop using it as an arms-in swaddle?

When your baby shows signs of trying to roll, stop using it as an arms-in swaddle and use it as an arms-out sleeping bag. Age ranges are a general guide. Always place your baby on their back to sleep.

Which TOG Sleeping Guru should I choose?

Choose by room temperature: COOL for 24–27°C and above, 0.3 TOG for 24–27°C, 1.0 TOG for 20–23°C and 1.5 TOG for 18–22°C. See the TOG guide.

What should my baby wear under it?

0.3 TOG: a thin short-sleeved or strappy bodysuit, or just a nappy in very warm rooms. 1.0 TOG: a short-sleeved bodysuit at 22–23°C; a long-sleeved bodysuit or thin pyjamas at 20–22°C. 1.5 TOG: a long-sleeved bodysuit or thin cotton pyjamas at 20–22°C; a long-sleeved bodysuit with thin pyjama bottoms, or a thin cotton romper, at 18–20°C.

Is it hip-healthy?

Yes. The wide hip and leg area lets your baby move their legs naturally, and the design is recognised as hip-healthy by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute (IHDI).

How are the TOG values tested?

Each TOG value has been tested and determined in independent laboratories in Europe. Write to info@owliturkiye.com with your product's name and TOG if you'd like the test report.
